The city of Sofia, in Bulgaria, originated almost three thousand years ago, and was built by an enormous ancient Thracian tribe, known as the ‘Serdi’. Sofia is situated between the Balkan Mountains to the north and the wild and beautiful Vitosha Mountains to the south.
