Polis is situated on the north-western coast of the island of Cyprus in the Mediterranean. Polis is quiet and retains much of its authentic Cypriot character. This romantic town is popular with couples and has many hidden courtyards, traditional architecture, a stunning coastline and a daily market. The nearest airport to Polis is Paphos and is easily reached by taxi or private transfer. From Polis, boat trips can be made to the fishing village of Latchi and other isolated beaches. Other popular excursions from Polis include the mountain monasteries of Chrysoroyiatissa and Ayios Neophytos, the Baths of Aphrodite and the Byzantine museum in Peristerona.
