Copenhagen Hotel 27 is situated in the historical centre of Copen-hagen. The first farm houses of what was to become the city are no than more 50 yards from where the hotel is today, and the small fisherman village that gave its name to the modern town, was 30 yards from the hotel towards the coastline. The very name Copenhagen reflects the primary tasks of the two small communities. 'Hagen' means harbour which refers to the fishermen 'Copen' is related to the German 'Kaufen' and refers to the mer-chants in the growing rural settlement - Copen and Hagen.
