Nimes is a very popular city located in the south of France. Nimes makes for great viewing with many ruins dating back to the Roman Empire still influence the city landscape. The Roman amphitheatre is the most well preserved arena in France. Other great attractions include the Tour Magne which is the Great Roman Tour and the Gardens of the Fountain. Nimes is served by Nimes Airport which is 20km to the south east of the city. When in Nimes you should visit the Maison Carree which is the one of the best preserved Roman temples in not just France but the whole of Europe.
