Bremen is situated in the northern part of Germany, and is the smallest of the two-city states, comprised of Bremen and Bremerhaven. Bremen is known as an old Hanseatic town, which was badly damaged during the last World War. But despite the huge damage from the war the town still remains a nice holiday spot with a big harbor atmosphere and offers a few sights that are worth visiting, the most popular being Bremen's beautiful Rathaus.
