Bremen is situated in the northern part of Germany, and is the smallest of the two-city states, comprised of Bremen and Bremerhaven. Bremen is known as an old Hanseatic town, which was badly damaged during the last World War. But despite the huge damage from the war the town still remains a nice holiday spot with a big harbor atmosphere and offers a few sights that are worth visiting, the most popular being Bremen's beautiful Rathaus. To unwind, and end the day nicely, then why not sample some of the city's distinctive German beer, or relax in one of the many fine hotels located in the city centre.
