Gouves is a friendly, smallish resort, situated against a mountain backdrop with the old town of Gournes at its base. Situated in Crete, Gouves is a good base if you wish to explore the north coast. Or you could stretch out on a golden sandy beach with crystal clear water or visit the many small cafes dotted on the coastline. When the sun sets, you could visit one of the many traditional restaurants and try some of the nicest Greek food and, should you wish, enjoy the nightlife.
