About 25 of us went to gorgeous Kinsale for New Year and stayed at the Trident Hotel. It is a not a particularly attractive hotel in the context of Kinsale, which is absolutely stunning, however the food, rooms, staff etc were all of the highest order. Most of the rooms have enormous windows with good views over the harbour, which is a definite plus as the hotel is ideally situated right in the heart of the seafront. If competent and efficient service is what you desire as opposed to the smaller, perhaps more colourful hotels in the region, then the Trident is for you. David - 21-February-2008
