Hotel San Luca situated along the Via Interna delle Mura, in the medieval heart of Spoleto, the Umbrian tradition of hospitality carries on inside this nineteenth century complex. The hall is furnished with comfortable peach armchairs arranged around an 18th century fireplace, and with antique pieces that add to the warmth, making you feel right at home. Two canaries occupy an antique birdcage, which blends nicely with the background of pastel colours from the striking collection of 19th century tureens on display. The typical floral motifs are repeated in the most tastefully appointed, soundproofed bedrooms. They are all spacious, colourful, soundproof, and extremely clean, filled with amenities and featuring 2 meters-wide double beds. The large bathrooms are faced with Carrara marble, some offering whirlpool bathtubs and all including towel heater and antifogging mirror. The hotel is air-conditioned and drapery- and carpet-free. The exclusive public rooms with huge fireplaces are tastefully furnished with period pieces, leather sofas and glass cases filled with original collections. In the central courtyard, flower gardens set off a fountain dating from 1198 said to yield healing waters claimed to have been drunk by Pope Innocenzo III.
