Praia da Rocha is an hour’s drive from Faro Airport and is an easy route in a hired car or private transfer can be booked. Potimao with its museums and 16th century architecture is just 5 minutes away. Several boat and fishing depart from nearby Portimao. To see the most of the Algarve it is best to hire a car and explore other towns including Lagos, Albufeira and Vilamoura.
