Palma is the port city of Majorca and the capital city of the Balearic Islands, Spain. Located in the south of Majorca on the Bay of Palma the Spanish city is a very popular tourist spot. Palma is served by Son Sant Joan Airport which located 8km east of the city and is one of the biggest airports in Spain. Palma is a city for those who are looking to enjoy a vibrant nightlife. The centre of the city also has a large gay and lesbian community which is reflected by some of the bars and clubs in the area. For some beach activity excursions can be made to either C’an Pastilla or Cala Mayor which are about 4 miles away on either side of Palma. Palma is one of Spain’s more urban cities and proves to be very popular year after year.
