Mahon is the capital city of Minorca located on the east of the island in Spain. Mahon Airport is only 4.5km away from the city making it very convenient to get to and from the Spanish city. Look out for the market day in Mahon where there is a great market once a week, find a good bargain and get some souvenirs. There is also a nice boat cruise you can take in glass bottom boat around the harbour. You can also make a short excursion to the Fortress La Mola which is near Mahon and as Mahon does not have its own beach you can go to the nearby beaches like the ones at Es Grau and Punta Prima.
