Costa Calma is situated on the southern coast of the Canary Island, Fuerteventura. As the name suggests, this is a quiet, family friendly, mature resort where the only really busy time is at the Sunday morning market. There are 12 miles of white sandy beach and foaming surf so there’s plenty to go round. The green areas of the town are a haven for wildlife. The big hotels have entertainment in the shape of quiz nights, karaoke and discos but there are also local restaurants and bars. Costa Calma is located 63 km south of Fuerteventura Airport and takes about an hour to reach by taxi or transfer. From Costa Calma, hire a car or take the bus and check out the rest of the island including Jandia, Corralejo and Puerto del Rosario and the neighbouring islands of Gran Canaria and Tenerife from Morro del Jable by ferry.
