The Jandia Peninsula makes up the southern coast of Fuerteventura in the Canaries. This pristine stretch of beach is where the annual World Windsurfing Championships are held and consequently, all forms of water sports including surfing, water-skiing and kite-surfing are popular in Jandia. With over 20km of beach there is loads of space to sunbathe and generally chill out. Families, couples and groups of all ages will be seduced by this relaxing destination. The towns and villages of Jandia provide restaurants, bars and the larger hotels also provide entertainment. The heart of Jandia is around 80km from Fuerteventura Airport and is easily reached by taxi or private transfer. With a hire car it is possible to tour the entirety of Fuerteventura Island including Costa Calma, La Oliva and Corralejo. It is also possible to visit Gran Canaria and Tenerife by ferry from Morro de Jable.
