Costa del Silencio is situated on the coast of the southern tip of Tenerife, the largest of the Canaries. Although Costa del Silencio is quieter than some of its neighbouring resorts, don’t let the name fool you. This is a lively, family and group friendly resort. There isn’t really much of a beach to speak of but a short bus ride brings you to Playa de las Americas, Los Cristianos and Las Galletas which provide nightlife, beaches and diving, respectively. Costa del Silencio has a wide range of bars and restaurants of its own, providing good food at good prices and a healthy, friendly nightlife. Costa del Silencio is located only 12km from Tenerife South airport and 75km from Tenerife North airport and is easily reached by taxi, bus or private transfer. Diving and sailing excursions can be booked and to Teide National Park and its distinctive volcano crater.
