Los Cristianos is a very popular resort in Tenerife, Spain. It is situated in the south-west part of the island, close the Tenerife Airport, and slightly merging into the more modern purpose-built Playa de las Americas resort. The most popular point of the resort tends to be the working harbour, which is surrounded with many restaurants, and clean sandy beaches. However, the old town centre is a must visit place in Los Cristianos, which stretches from the port right up to the main shopping area, and is full of pedestrianised streets, which are still inhabited by many local people. Los Cristianos best beach is the Playa de las Vistas, with clean golden sand imported all the way from the Sahara. The beaches are full with watersports opportunities, from jet skiing and windsurfing to scuba diving and banana boat rides.
