The Howard Hotel, winner of the \'customer care\' Thistle Award 2006, is a 5* luxury Boutique hotel in Edinburgh city centre. The hotel building is a traditional Scottish, Georgian townhouse, dating back to 1820. Renovated in 2006, this city hotel has a total of 18 rooms over 5 floors, of which 5 are suites. The hotel includes a lobby, a 24-hour reception with a hotel safe, a lift and a cloakroom. Consistently classified as one of the AA\'s Top 200 Hotels in Britain and Ireland and recently awarded a Scottish Boutique Hotel Special Commendation from the Scottish Hotel of the Year Awards 2007. The hotel offers a butler service to cover such day-to-day tasks as valeting, surfing the web, polishing your shoes, taking care of your dry-cleaning requirements, arranging dinner parties and organizing your social itinerary, or other special requests. All rooms have recently been renovated to the high standard expected of a five star town house hotel. Many rooms are equipped with unusual features such as canopy beds, rain baths and antique bakelite telephones. Views include Edinburgh\'s prestigious cobbled Great King Street to the front of the hotel, and panoramic views across the Firth of Forth and onto the Kingdom of Fife from our second floor bedrooms.
